Joanna Williamson, MS, RCEP, CSCS, E-RYT is a 20 year veteran of the fitness and wellness industry. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (200hr certification plus over 1000 teaching hours) through Yoga Alliance, an American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, a triathlon age-grouper, an avid runner and cyclist and a dedicated mother of twins. She holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois-Urbana. She has been teaching group exercise since 1992, personal training and conditioning since 1998 and teaching yoga since 2002.
Ms. Williamson has moved to Austin, TX where she will train the Texas Triathlon Club team, advise the USAFA Triathlon team, teach classes and personal train.
She was the Research Coordinator for the JUMP-ACL Study for the US Air Force Academy for 2011-2012 school year. JUMP-ACL, one of the largest Sports Medicine studies in history focused on ACL injury prevention in the military, which is taking place at West Point, the Naval Academy, and for the Marines, in addition to USAFA. She assisted with Tactical Conditioning classes (where she has taught yoga and conditioning for the cadets), the Triathlon team, and worked with Intercollegiate Athletics teams in the Human Performance Lab.
